The centrepiece of Model C is a pull‑out drawer block located immediately below the main worktop, easily accessible without bending. This block consists of:

Additionally, we recommend always returning a shim immediately after measurement to its original slot – the design encourages this habit.

Q4: Does the bench include any means to verify the accuracy of shim thickness on‑site?
Yes – the included gauge holder is sized for a standard digital micrometre (25 mm range, 0.001 mm resolution). We do not supply the micrometre itself, but the holder keeps it within arm's reach, encouraging you to check each shim before installation. The worktop flatness of <0.05 mm/m ensures a reliable reference surface for zeroing the gauge.

Q5: Is the stainless top resistant to diesel and biodiesel spills that could damage the shim drawer?
The 304 stainless is fully corrosion‑resistant to diesel, biodiesel (B100), and common cleaning solvents. The drawer block is located beneath a protective overhang – spills on the top drain to a front drip channel (included) and do not reach the shim compartment. An additional silicone seal around the drawer opening provides extra protection.

Q6: What is the warranty on the drawer slides and tray materials?
