Oil fill & initial break-in - fill the crankcase to specification before first run; operate at low pressure/no-load for a short period to seat internal seals.

Mounting orientation - horizontal orientation is standard; avoid extreme tilt that may starve lubrication.

Include a bypass or pressure relief valve in the system to protect against deadhead or overpressure conditions.

 

 

Routine oil checks/changes - monitor crankcase oil quality and level; replace at regular intervals (e.g. every 500 operating hours, or sooner in dirty environments).

Seal & packing inspection - check plunger seals or packing for wear and leakage. Replace with OEM grade kits.

Valve inspection / replacement - inlet and discharge valves should be inspected periodically; stainless-steel or hardened materials extend life.

Plunger and surface condition - ensure ceramic plungers stay smooth; avoid damage due to abrasives or scale.

Bearing wear - over time, check for radial or axial play in bearings (tapered roller bearings are common in this design).

Gasket integrity - if you disassemble, always use fresh gaskets or O-rings to maintain reliability.

When servicing, always follow torque specs and alignment procedures to avoid inducing failures.
